They also committed to strengthening joint measures and improving coordination to prevent illegal migration. The ministers further decided that criminals involved in serious crimes would be repatriated from Europe to Pakistan for legal action. To enhance coordination, each country will appoint a focal person within its interior ministry, and an integrated strategy will be implemented to address shared challenges. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan currently acts as a strong barrier against terrorist networks operating between Afghanistan and the wider world. He highlighted that the government’s crackdown on human smuggling networks has yielded positive results, reducing illegal migration from Pakistan to Europe by 47 percent.
