LAHORE – Punjab Government has declared all public transport in Lahore free for the historic Basant festival, giving citizens and tourists a safe, hassle-free way to enjoy the celebrations. The landmark initiative will run from February 6 to 8, aiming to reduce traffic chaos and ensure smooth mobility as the city prepares for the return of the beloved kite-flying festival after a long ban. Authorities are strongly advising people to leave motorcycles at home, as they are particularly vulnerable to stray kite strings, and instead take advantage of Lahore’s extensive mass transit network.
