CM Maryam announces Rs10,000 Ramadan relief for registered workers without ration cards

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that workers registered with Social Security but not holding ration cards can also receive Rs10,000 financial assistance during Ramadan. The Bank of Punjab has finalized a simple mechanism for disbursement of the Rs10,000 Ramadan relief amount. The eligible workers have been sent a six-digit PIN code to their registered mobile numbers. How to get Rs10,000 Ramzan relief? The workers must carry their original CNIC and the confidential six-digit PIN code. They can visit the nearest agent of Alpha Pay, HBL Konnect or UBL Omni near their residence or industrial unit. After providing the PIN code and completing biometric verification, the worker will immediately receive Rs10,000. No deduction on Rs10,000 payment The authorities in Punjab have clarified that there will be no deduction from the Rs10,000 Ramadan package. Beneficiaries are entitled to receive the full amount without any service charges. The initiative aims to provide financial relief to registered labourers across Punjab during the holy month of Ramadan, ensuring direct and transparent cash distribution through biometric verification. The workers are advised not to share their PIN code with anyone except the authorized agent at the time of biometric verification to avoid fraud.
