DUBAI – The Emirates ID is an official identification card issued by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) in the UAE. It is provided to both citizens and residents, including Pakistani nationals living in the country for work or business purposes. It is mandatory for all residents and citizens of the UAE to apply for this ID and carry it at all times as a legal requirement. In the event that your Emirates ID is lost or you suspect it has been stolen, it is essential to promptly apply for a replacement through the relevant authorities. Report the loss of Emirates ID Pakistan citizens must immediately visit the nearest ICP Customer Happiness Centre and report the incident so the stolen or lost card will be deactivated immediately. The applicant must ask ICP for ID number confirmation or a copy of the lost ID, in case you don’t have one. Requirement for Replacement of Lost Emirates ID Expatriate residents must bring their original passport stamped with a valid residency permit. Apply for ID card replacement After reporting the incident, the applicant needs to fill in an application form at any of ICA’s Customer Happiness Centres or the UAE ICP app available on iTunes and Google Play and request replacement of ID card. Fee for Replacement of Lost Emirates ID The basic fee for replacement of a lost ID stands at AED 300, in addition to application fees of AED 70 in case of applying through typing centres, or AED 40 in case of applying through the eForm on the ICA website. The applicant may get an express ID replacement service at ICA main’s Customer Happiness Centre against AED 150 extra.
