KARACHI – Pakistan’s mobile landscape is witnessing fierce competition, with Opensignal’s February 2026 Mobile Network Experience Report revealing mixed performance among the country’s four major operators. Covering October 1 to December 29, 2025, the report shows that no single network reigns supreme, with Jazz, Zong, and Ufone each excelling in different categories, while Telenor lags behind as the industry undergoes a major shakeup following PTCL’s acquisition of Telenor Pakistan. Opensignal recognized them as statistically tied, showing nearly identical user experiences. Ufone trails at 42.6, while Telenor struggles at 34.9, highlighting a major gap in streaming quality for video-hungry users. Ufone tops Games Experience ranking with 47.9 points, outperforming Zong (42.6), Jazz (39.3), and Telenor (37.3). Despite Ufone’s lead, the report notes that all networks score under 50, signaling that there’s still a long way to go for flawless online gaming. When it comes to raw speed, Zong leads the pack. Download Speed Experience puts Zong at 18.2 Mbps, narrowly ahead of Jazz at 17.6 Mbps. Ufone clocks 12.2 Mbps, while Telenor lags far behind at 6.6 Mbps. In uploads, Zong again leads with 7.1 Mbps, followed by Jazz (6.4 Mbps), Ufone (3.9 Mbps), and Telenor (2.3 Mbps). Zong clearly dominates speed, leaving Telenor struggling to keep pace. Jazz boasts the widest coverage, scoring 7.0 out of 10, outpacing Zong (5.9), Telenor (5.2), and Ufone (4.0). But in network reliability, Zong takes the crown, keeping users connected 96.5% of the time—higher than Jazz (92.9%), Ufone (92.6%), and Telenor (91.6%). In 4G availability, Jazz tops again at 94.2%, while Zong (89.9%), Telenor (89.3%), and Ufone (87.2%) follow, showing that Jazz is king in 4G coverage while Zong ensures users stay online. In Consistent Quality, Ufone narrowly edges out Zong with 29.3% versus 29.1%, followed by Jazz (27.0%) and Telenor (23.8%). But Zong dominates Reliability Experience with a score of 650, ahead of Ufone (594), Jazz (572), and Telenor (563), proving it is the most dependable network overall. Opensignal’s report underscores that the “best network” depends on user priorities. Those chasing speed may gravitate to Zong, gamers might prefer Ufone, and coverage-focused users are likely to choose Jazz. Telenor struggles to keep up as Pakistan’s telecom sector evolves, consolidation continues, and data consumption grows rapidly. Public Wi-Fi networks: How to stay safe while using free internet?
