Fazal Din’s Pharma, Chughtai Lab among 66 sealed in Lahore

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 66 illegal commercial buildings and the premises that defaulted on commercialisation fees in Lahore’s various housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas yesterday. LDA’s Town Planning Wing sealed 21 buildings in Gulberg and Model Town Extension, 20 in Awaisia Society, 15 in Mustafa Town, and 10 on the Canal Bank Road during operations against illegal commercial use and nonpayment of commercialisation fees. The sealed premises include Fazal Din’s Pharma Plus, Chughtai Lab, Connoisseur Grammar School, Al-Harm Academy of Science, Iffat Anwar Medical Complex, marriage halls, marquees, grocery stores, food outlets, offices, and other businesses. LDA Chief Town Planner I, Assad-uz-Zaman, and Chief Town Planner II, Azhar Ali, supervised the operations in their respective jurisdictions. LDA’s enforcement and security teams carried out these operations with the assistance of the Police. According to the LDA spokesperson, several notices were served on the owners of these buildings before carrying out the operations.
