Fidya, Fitran amounts for Ramadan 2026 announced in Pakistan

LAHORE – As Ramadan 2024 approaches, the Islamic Ideology Council (IIC) has announced Fidya, Fitrana, and Kaffara for the holy month. Fidya is paid by individuals who are unable to fast due to health conditions, travel, or other valid reasons. For the year 2026, the Fidya amounts are as follows: For wheat, the cost is Rs300 per roza, which totals Rs9,000 for 30 fasts. For barley, the cost is Rs1,100 per roza, which totals Rs33,000 for 30 fasts. For dates, the cost is Rs1,600 per roza, which totals Rs48,000 for 30 fasts. For Kishmish, the cost is Rs3,800 per roza, which totals Rs114,000 for 30 fasts. For Manaq or raisins, the cost is Rs5,400 per roza, which totals Rs162,000 for 30 fasts. Fitrana Amount 2026 Fitrana is the obligatory charity given by Muslims during Ramadan to help those in need. The Fitrana amounts for 2026 are as follows: Rs300 per person for wheat, Rs1,10 per person for barley, Rs1,800 per person for dates, Rs3,800 per person for kishmish. Rs5,400 per person for Manaqa Kaffar Amount Lastly, Kaffara is the penalty for deliberately breaking a fast without a valid reason. According to IIC, the Kaffara requires Muslims to feed two meals to 60 deserving people. These amounts aim to ensure that all Muslims can fulfill their obligations during Ramadan and help those in need.
