Foreign missions in Pakistan condemn terrorist attacks in Balochistan

Our hearts go for the bereaved families: Saudi Arabia, UK, France, EU, US & Qatar Saudi Arabia, US, UK, European Union (EU), France and Qatar have condemned terrorist attacks in Balochistan, expressing solidarity with Islamabad after a wave of coordinated violence killed civilians and security personnel across multiple districts on Saturday. In a statement cited by the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, the Kingdom said it rejected violence in all its forms and stood with Pakistan as its security forces responded to the attacks. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia strongly condemns the attacks carried out by separatist elements in various areas of Pakistan’s Balochistan province,” he said in a social media message on Saturday. “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia renews its firm position rejecting all acts of terrorism and extremism.” The US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker also condemned the attacks in a statement shared by the US embassy. “The United States remains a steadfast partner of Pakistan in its efforts to ensure peace and stability. We stand in solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time,” Baker was quoted as saying. The UK mission in Pakistan also condemned the terrorist attacks across parts of Balochistan. “Our thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives and all those affected. We stand with Pakistan in rejecting terrorism and in our shared commitment to peace and security,” the UK high commission said in a statement. The European Union mission in Pakistan also expressed condolences to the bereaved families: “The EU strongly condemns and unequivocally rejects terrorism in all its forms and stands with Pakistan. Our deepest condolences to the families of civilians and security personnel killed in recent attacks in Balochistan, and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured,” said the EU. Qatar’s foreign ministry has also condemned the attacks as well and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar reiterates the State of Qatar’s firm position rejecting violence, terrorism, and criminal acts in all forms, regardless of their motives or justifications. The French embassy in Islamabad also condemn the terrorist attacks across Balochistan. “Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and our profound sympathy to all those affected,” said a statement by the French embassy uploaded on its social media account. “We stand in solidarity with the people of Pakistan against terrorism in all its forms,” said the embassy’s statement.
