FTO team highlights role of cost-free Justice at KITAAS College

An awareness session was held on Wednesday, at KITAAS College to educate students on the role and significance of the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO). The session was led by Advisor Media, Mr. Abdul Basit Khan, along with the FTO team comprising Zeerak Kaleem Usmani, Diya Hur, and Sehar Tariq, who delivered a detailed presentation on the mandate and functions of the institution. Following the presentation, Mr. Abdul Basit Khan addressed the students and emphasized the crucial role of the Federal Tax Ombudsman in facilitating businesses and trader associations by providing cost-free, timely, and effective justice against maladministration in tax matters. He highlighted how the FTO serves as an accessible forum for resolving grievances and strengthening trust between taxpayers and state institutions. The session concluded with an address by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), who appreciated and congratulated the FTO team for their efforts in raising public awareness. He stressed the importance of educating the younger generation about constitutional institutions like the Federal Tax Ombudsman and acknowledged the value of such initiatives in promoting legal awareness and good governance.
