COLOMBO – Pakistan have qualified for the Super Eight stage of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 following a thumping win over Namibia in a crucial match. Sahibzada Farhan’s 58-ball maiden T20I century and Usman Tariq’s 4-16 guided Pakistan to 102-run victory against Namibia in their must-win last Group A fixture here at the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground in Colombo on Wednesday evening. Pakistan posted 199-3 in 20 overs after opting to bat first and then bundled out Namibia for a mere 97 in 17.3 overs. Pakistan Super Eight Matches Schedule The Team Green will play their first match of the Super 8 stage against New Zealand on February 21 (Saturday). Pakistan will play second Super 8 match against England on February 24 while the third is against Sri Lanka on Feb 28. The International Cricket Council said each team will play their three group opponents during the Super Eights, with the top two sides from each group progressing to the knockout semi-finals. Teams start the Super Eights with zero points. No points, wins or net run rate from the first round are carried forward. The final match of the T20 World Cup will be played on March 8 (Sunday). Super Eight Groups Group 1 of the Super Eights consists of India, Zimbabwe, West Indies and South Africa, while Group 2 includes Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England and New Zealand.
