Gold prices in Pakistan approach Rs525,000 amid global surge

ISLAMABAD – Gold and silver prices have surged again in Pakistan on Monday, reflecting a significant rise in the global market. In the local market, the price of one tola of gold has increased by Rs5,300, reaching Rs524,762 while the price of 10 grams of gold has risen by Rs4,544, now standing at Rs449,898 . Meanwhile, the price of one tola of silver has also seen a notable increase of Rs346, bringing it to Rs8,615. On the global front, gold prices continued their upward momentum, climbing by $53 per ounce to reach $5,020. This rise comes as the dollar weakened and investors anticipated critical job and inflation data later in the week, which could influence future U.S. interest rate decisions. Spot gold rose 1.1% to $5,012.76 per ounce by 0502 GMT, following a 4% jump on Friday. Additionally, US gold futures for April delivery gained 1.1%, reaching $5,033.80 per ounce. Latest Gold Prices in Pakistan Today The price of per tola gold stand at Rs524,762 while the 10-gram is available for Rs449,898. On Saturday, gold prices saw a notable increase in the local market, with the cost of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs11,700, reaching Rs519,462. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold surged by Rs10,030, settling at Rs445,354. Meanwhile, the cost of 10 grams of 22-karat gold saw an uptick of Rs9,195, bringing it to Rs408,256.
