Gold prices in Pakistan see big drop for second day in a row

KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decline for the second day in a row in line with falling global rates on Wednesday. According to Sarafa Association, price of per tola gold plunged by Rs10,000 with new rate settling at Rs539,962 compared to previous close of Rs549,962. The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also saw a decline, falling by Rs8,573 to Rs462,930 from Rs471,503. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold decreased by Rs7,859, bringing it down to Rs424,367 from Rs432,226. On the other hand, silver prices experienced an increase. The price of per tola silver rose by Rs100, reaching Rs9,004, up from Rs8,904. The price of 10 grams of silver also increased by Rs86, from Rs7,633 to Rs7,719. In the international market, the price of gold fell by $100, going down from $5,272 to $5,172. A day earlier, the price of per tola gold decreased by Rs13,900 and was sold at Rs549,962. The price of 10 grams also witnessed decrease of Rs11,917 to Rs471,503.
