The District Administration of Khairpur has announced a local holiday on March 4, 2026, in observance of the annual Urs of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast. According to the notification, all government and semi-government offices in the district will remain closed on that day. The Urs celebrations, marking the 205th anniversary of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast, will commence on the 14th of Ramadan. In a separate development, the Sindh government has declared two days off for Hindu employees on the occasion of Holi. Hindu workers across Sindh will be granted holidays on March 3 and 4, 2026. The announcement of these holidays aims to accommodate both the spiritual observances and cultural festivities within the province, highlighting the province’s commitment to honoring religious and cultural diversity.
