Hospital OPD timings announced for Ramadan 2026 in Punjab

LAHORE – The Punjab Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education has issued a notification regarding revised working hours for government medical universities, colleges, and teaching hospitals during Ramadan 2026. According to the announcement, office hours will be from 8 am to 1 pm on Monday to Thursday and Saturday, while on Friday, working hours will be from 8 am to 12:30 pm. For health institutions operating five days a week, the new working hours will be from 8 am to 2 pm, Monday through Thursday. OPD Timings for Ramadan 2026 Outpatient Department (OPD) hours at teaching hospitals will be from 8 am to 1 pm on Monday to Thursday and Saturday, and from 8 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays. The health department stated that these changes are being implemented immediately to ensure better services for the public during the holy month of Ramadan. Earlier, the Punjab government issued an official notification revising office timings for provincial departments during Ramadan. The notification stated that provincial government offices operating five days a week will function from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Meanwhile, departments observing a six-day workweek will operate from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. On Fridays, the government offices will operation from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
