Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, chaired a follow-up meeting at the Central Police Office to review progress on the ongoing police operation in the Katcha area. The session featured detailed deliberations on proposals aimed at strengthening police infrastructure and refining operational strategies to ensure sustainable peace in the region. During the meeting, participants agreed to modernize security measures to permanently improve law and order in the Katcha area. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem stated that, under the directives of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, all development initiatives in the Katcha region — including projects related to infrastructure, education, health, and employment — would be provided comprehensive security. He emphasized that the government’s writ would be upheld in the Katcha areas at all costs and that extremist elements would not be allowed to re-establish their presence.
