SHIEKHUPURA – Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar on Sunday provided an update on the health of former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, stating that one of his eyes has 6/6 vision, while the other eye has 70 percent vision with corrective lenses. Azam Nazeer Tarar highlighted the importance of addressing lawyers’ issues, emphasizing that resolving their challenges remains a government priority. He was addressing a ceremony at the Shiekhupura Bar Council on Monday. The law minister added that cooperation between the bench and the bar is essential for ensuring timely delivery of justice. The minister said that under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, the government’s difficult decisions are producing positive results, and the country’s economy is steadily improving. He stressed that political stability is critical for economic growth and reaffirmed that Pakistan comprises four provinces, with Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir as integral parts of the country. Tarar also criticized the closure of motorways and the Grand Trunk Road, describing the action as unconstitutional. He urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to reopen the roads, warning that if they fail to comply, the federal government would take necessary constitutional measures. On Imran Khan’s medical condition, Tarar said a team of doctors from PIMS and Al-Shifa International Hospital conducted a comprehensive examination at Adiala Jail. He noted that the medical team expressed full satisfaction with the ongoing treatment, and opposition leaders as well as Imran Khan’s personal doctors were given a detailed briefing on his health. The minister’s comments come after lawyer Salman Safdar had earlier informed the Supreme Court that Imran Khan’s vision had reportedly dropped to 15 percent. The Supreme Court had directed that a detailed medical report be submitted by February 16. Imran Khan’s eye sight improves, further treatment planned, says sister citing reports
