India beat Pakistan by 61 runs in the high-voltage match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Colombo on Sunday evening. Chasing a competitive 176-run target for victory, Pakistan kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for 114 runs in 18 overs. Usman Khan was the highest scorer for the Green shirts, who made 44 off 34 balls, hitting six fours and one maximum. Shaheen Shah Afidi contributed an unbeaten 23 off 19 balls, Shadab Khan 14 off 15 balls, and Faheem Ashraf 10 off 14 balls. Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy took two wickets each, while Kuldeep Yadav and Tilak Varma got one wicket apiece. Ishan Kishan was named player of the match for his valuable contribution with the bat.
