Islamabad ATC grants post-arrest bail to Imaan Mazari, Chattha in altercation case

ISLAMABAD – An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday granted post-arrest bail to Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha in a case pertaining to an alleged altercation with police and protest. ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain passed the order while hearing the pleas moved by Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha in connection with a case registered over charges of scuffling with police officials and staging a protest. During the proceedings, defence counsel State Ali Azad argued that the case was baseless and fabricated, claiming it had surfaced abruptly. He submitted that even though he himself had been nominated in the FIR, they were unaware of its registration. The counsel further contended that the FIR was lodged over an alleged incident that had no factual basis and described it as a concocted story.
