ISLAMABAD – An Islamabad Banking Court on Friday ordered the submission of a complete challan in the foreign funding case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and others by March 5. During the hearing, Siraj Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Faisal Qazi, an employee of a private bank, were also brought under investigation. Before Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakad, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) stated that the chargesheet would be revised following the inclusion of two new suspects. Special Prosecutor Wasiq Malik appeared on behalf of the prosecution. Malik informed the court that a partial chargesheet had previously been submitted, but with the new accused now under investigation, a complete chargesheet would be filed instead of a supplementary one. When asked by the judge how much time was needed to finalize the chargesheet, the Special Prosecutor requested 10 to 15 days. The court approved the interim bail of Siraj Ahmed and Faisal Qazi until March 5 and adjourned the hearing of the PTI foreign funding case until the same date.
