ISLAMABAD – Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, has announced re-issuance of lost or stolen M-Tags free of cost to motorcycle owners in the capital city. In a message shared on social media platform X, Memon said citizens can now report lost or stolen Motorcycle M-Tags by calling 1313 from their registered mobile number. The service will allow for instant blocking of the M-Tag, preventing misuse and theft, he added. Furthermore, a free-of-cost duplicate M-Tag will be issued to the motorcycle owner, ensuring seamless reissuance and continuing the convenience of the digital tolling system. The new initiative is part of a broader effort to streamline verification and prevent unauthorized usage. Motorcycle M-Tags, which are equipped with state-of-the-art security features, provide real-time registration and ownership verification through digital scanning at various checkpoints. These modern features are designed to mitigate theft and ensure the proper use of M-Tags. Authorities have also warned that using an unauthorized Motorcycle M-Tag will lead to immediate legal consequences, underlining the importance of maintaining legitimate registration and usage. موٹر سائیکلز پر ایم ٹیگ سٹیکر کے چوری ہونے کے حوالے سے خدشات کے پیش نظر ڈی جی ایکسائز کا اہم بیان ایم ٹیگ سٹیکر میں جدید سیکورٹی فیچرز کو متعارف کروایا گیا ہے جبکہ مختلف ناکہ جات پر ریڈرز کی مدد سے ایم ٹیگ کی سکینگ کے ذریعے بائک نمبر کے ساتھ مماثلت اور اونر شپ بھی ویریفائی کی... pic.twitter.com/zJsUQ0yZaq — DC Islamabad (@dcislamabad) March 2, 2026 M-Tag Centres Timings in Ramzan As part of the new schedule, M-Tag services will be available 24/7 at the 26 Number and Phulgran Toll Plazas.
