Intermittent rains and isolated hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday. Synoptic Situation: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan, which will likely persist in the upper parts till March 12. Forecast: Under these conditions, intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Potohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday. Isolated moderate to heavy falls and hailstorms are likely during the period. Dry weather is likely elsewhere in the country. Temperatures: Islamabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 12°C and 14°C on Tuesday and between 11°C and 13°C on Wednesday. Rawalpindi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 15°C and 17°C on Tuesday and between 14°C and 16°C on Wednesday. Past Weather: Dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. Cold weather prevailed in the upper parts. Rains occurred at a few places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
