In light of the recent unrest following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei in a US-Israel attack, several universities in Islamabad have also adjusted their schedules. The Federal Urdu University has announced that all campuses will remain closed today in observance of the protests and to pay respects to Khamenei’s death. According to the registrar, no teaching activities will take place across the university’s three campuses today. The decision to close the university comes amid the tense atmosphere in the capital. Meanwhile, the International Islamic University Islamabad has decided to shift all of its classes to an online format today due to the ongoing situation. Lectures will be conducted through Google Meet, and faculty members have been instructed to ensure the smooth running of virtual classes. However, administrative staff, including deans and chairpersons, will remain present on campus to handle necessary office operations.
