Kazakh President Tokayev arrives in Pakistan on two-day visit

Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit on Tuesday. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar received the visiting dignitary at Nur Khan Airbase. On his arrival, a 21-gun salute was presented to the Kazakh President. Dressed in traditional attire, children presented a bouquet to President Tokayev. The delegation comprises senior ministers and other high-ranking officials. During his stay in Pakistan, President Tokayev will meet President Zardari and PM Shehbaz. He will also address the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum. Several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements will be signed between the two countries in various sectors. During a visit to Pakistan by then-Kazakh deputy premier Murat Nurtleu in September, the two countries signed an Action Plan of Cooperation to strengthen bilateral ties.
