Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Weather: More rain, snowfall expected

More rain with snowfall is expected in the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday night and Monday, with occasional breaks. Synoptic Situation: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan. Forecast: Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday night and Monday. Freezing weather is expected in the upper districts. However, light rain with snowfall is expected in Chitral, Dir, Malam Jabba, Kohistan, Kalam, Swat, Parachinar and Waziristan. Temperatures: Peshawar’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 06°C and 08°C on Monday and Tuesday and between 07°C and 09°C on Wednesday. Past Weather: Cold and dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in the upper districts. However, isolated rain and snowfall occurred in the upper parts. Rainfall (mm): Malam Jabba 12, Lower Dir, Kalam 03, Pattan 01 Snowfall (Inches): Malam Jabba 06 Kalam remained the coldest place in the province, where the temperature dropped 05°C below the freezing point. Minimum temperature in Malam Jabba was recorded at -04°C, and in Chitral and Dir at 0°C. In Peshawar, the minimum temperature was recorded at 07°C.
