Partly cloudy and cold weather with light rain and snowfall is expected in the upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday night and the next two days. Synoptic Situation: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a shallow westerly wave will likely approach the extreme northern parts of Pakistan tonight. Forecast: Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in Peshawar and most districts of the province on Wednesday night and the next two days. Partly cloudy/cold weather with light rain and snowfall over hills is expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Bajaur and surroundings. Daytime temperatures are likely to remain between 31°C and 33°C in plain areas, while 21°C to 23°C in hilly areas. Temperatures: Peshawar’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 11°C and 13°C on Thursday and Friday and between 12°C and 14°C on Saturday. Past Weather: Dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. Cold weather prevailed in the upper districts. Dir and Chitral remained the coldest places in the province, where the temperature dropped to 05°C. Minimum temperature in Malam Jabba was recorded at 07°C and in Abbotabad at 08°C.
