ISLAMABAD – Pakistan possesses a diverse arsenal of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, air-to-surface weapons, and other guided systems to strengthen its defense against external threats. The list of ballistic missiles (Surface-to-Surface) include Shaheen Series, Ghauri Series, Ababeel, Ghaznavi (Hatf-III), Abdali (Hatf-II), Nasr (Hatf-IX), Fatah-2 and others. Every missile has different range and capacity and here we have gathered details of the Shaheen-III Ballistic Missiles. Shaheen-III Missile The Shaheen-III is a long-range, surface-to-surface ballistic missile with a maximum range of 2,750 kilometers, allowing it to cover northeastern India as well as the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It uses solid fuel, enabling quick launch capabilities, and is equipped with a Post-Separation Altitude Correction (PSAC) system. This system allows the missile to adjust its warhead trajectory mid-flight, enhancing accuracy and helping it evade anti-ballistic missile defenses. The Shaheen-III was first test-fired in March 2015.
