ISLAMABAD – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced the creation of a new force aimed at securing the release of Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). CM Afridi said he had been entrusted by Khan with the responsibility of leading a street movement. He criticized authorities for disregarding court orders and preventing Khan from accessing his personal doctors. He made these remarks while talking to the reporters outside the main building of the Supreme Court in Islamabad. The announcement marked a new phase in PTI’s efforts amid ongoing political tensions and calls for Khan’s release. Afridi said the PTI Rahai Force would operate as a peaceful movement. “We will register members of the force, and after Eid, on February 22, an oath-taking ceremony will be held in Peshawar. The force will have a structured chain of command, and leadership will be assigned according to Khan’s directives,” he explained. He added, “We will prepare first and then take action. This struggle is for the supremacy of democracy, the constitution, and the protection of free media.” Addressing internal party issues, Afridi said those attempting to remove him from PTI should know that honor and disgrace come from Allah. He suggested that anyone seeking clarification on such matters should consult the founding chairman’s sisters. Erasmus Mundus IMSOGLO scholarship for Pakistani students; check here
