KSE-100 up 1,800 points during early intraday trading on Tuesday

Pakistan’s benchmark index, KSE-100, was trading higher at 11:30am on Tuesday, up 1,801.31 points from its previous close. The index had risen 0.97 per cent to 186,859.14 points from Monday’s close of 185,057.83 points. Trading volumes early in the day remained healthy at 138,963,596, at a volume of 13,999,917,262. The top active stocks were led by Bank of Punjab with a volume of 37,484,668, rising 4.39pc to Rs40.19, followed by First National Equities Limited with a volume of 27,964,891 remaining steady at Rs1.65, and K-Electric Limited, rising 2.11pc to Rs7.26 at a volume of 27,231,582. Top advancers so far have been Metropolitan Steel Corporation Limited, rising 10.01pc to Rs18.24, followed by Blessed Textiles Limited, rising 10pc to 674.77, and Fazal Cloth Mills Limited, rising 10pc to Rs282.63.
