LAHORE – The holy month of Ramadan is anticipated to begin on Thursday, February 19, 2026, or Friday, February 20, 2026, depending on the sighting of the moon. If Shaban lasts for 29 days, Ramadan will commence on February 19. However, if Shaban extends to 30 days, Ramadan will begin on February 20. The moon sighting, which marks the beginning of the Islamic month of Ramadan, is expected to take place on the evening of February 18. If the crescent moon is sighted, Ramadan will begin the following day, February 19. If the moon is not visible, Ramadan will start on February 20. The final decision on the official start of Ramadan will be announced by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. Sehri, Iftari Timings in Lahore In Pakistan, the daily fast is projected to last between 13 and 13 and half hours. At the beginning of the holy month in March, fasting hours are expected to be close to 13 hours, gradually increasing to around 13 and a half hours toward the end of Ramadan.
