Levi’s, Breakout, GAS among 62 premises sealed in Lahore

Levi’s outlet, Beakout and GAS were among 62 illegal commercial buildings sealed in Lahore’s various housing schemes yesterday. During operations against illegal commercial buildings and nonpayment of commercialisation fees, the Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning Wing sealed 17 buildings in Gulberg and New Garden Town, 25 in Shadman, and 20 in Allama Iqbal Town and Subzazar Housing Scheme. LDA Chief Town Planner I, Assad-uz-Zaman, supervised these operations carried out by the enforcement and security teams with the assistance of the Police. According to LDA officials, several notices were served on the owners of these buildings before the operations were carried out. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed the continuation of indiscriminate operations against illegal commercial use and nonpayment of commercialisation fees in Lahore’s housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas.
