LLF Lahore 2026 all set to start at Alhamra by tomorrow

LAHORE – The 14th edition of the Lahore Literary Festival (LLF) will officially begin on Friday (tomorrow), February 6, 2026, at the Lahore Arts Council Alhamra. The three-day festival will open with a grand ceremony at 2pm in Alhamra Hall No. 1, featuring prominent writers, scholars, intellectuals, researchers, artists and diplomats from Pakistan and around the world. The opening session will be presided over by Zahra and Z.Z. Ahmed while Razi Ahmed, CEO of the Lahore Literary Festival, will deliver the opening remarks and outline the festival’s goals. The inaugural session’s theme, “Alexander the Great: A Comprehensive Study,” will see a keynote address from the globally renowned historian and Oxford University Emeritus Fellow, Dr. Robin Lane Fox. The session will be introduced by eminent historian and author, F.S. Ijazuddin. Throughout the festival, more than sixty academic, literary, and intellectual sessions will be held, exploring a wide range of topics such as history, global politics, diplomacy, culture, fine arts, heritage, film, social sciences, and literature. In addition, twelve special sessions dedicated to Urdu and Punjabi language and literature will highlight the region’s literary traditions. Scholars, writers, intellectuals, and researchers from fifteen countries, including Pakistan, are participating in the festival, representing almost every continent. The event is set to reaffirm Lahore’s status as a global hub for intellectual and literary discourse.
