On the auspicious occasion of Pakistan Day, I extend heartiest felicitations on behalf of COMSATS’ fraternity to the Host Government and People of the founding member, Pakistan. Pakistan Resolution that was adopted on 23rd March 1940 under the selfless visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah_ a man of unbreakable integrity and high dignity, laid the foundation of a country, which today stands on the strengths of 250 million young dominated resilient population, abundance of unexploited natural resources and a major regional power to reckon with. Envisioned by the Nobel Laureate and Pakistani Scientist, Prof. Abdus Salam, founded in Pakistan in 1994, COMSATS over-arching objective remains bridging technology and knowledge gap between the developed and developing countries. COMSATS harnesses emerging technologies to stay in-step and benefit Member States. COMSATS’ activities, aligned with SDGs, assist member states in a variety of ways, including building local capacity for R&D in order to translate technological advancements into tangible socioeconomic benefits.
