QUETTA – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Quetta to assess the escalating law and order situation. He, alongside Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, attended the funeral prayers of the martyred personnel at the Police Lines and personally met the grieving families, offering condolences and reassurance. Chief Minister Bugti vowed that the sacrifices of the martyrs would never be forgotten. “Our brave personnel faced terrorists with unmatched courage. Their blood will not go in vain,” he said, promising the families that justice would be served. “Our martyrs’ sacrifices are monumental, and Balochistan owes them a debt of gratitude. Their spirits will rise alongside the Holy Prophet (SAW),” he added. Minister Naqvi lauded the bravery and resilience of Balochistan’s people and security forces. “The nation salutes our courageous personnel who carried out a decisive and effective operation against the terrorists. Their sacrifices will forever be remembered,” he stated. Follow-up operations across multiple locations have intensified, with 58 terrorists neutralized so far. Tragically, 10 security personnel lost their lives in these clashes. In a horrific incident in Gwadar, FAH terrorists brutally murdered five members of a Baloch laborer’s family, including a woman and three children. Search and clearance operations, supported by aerial surveillance, are ongoing. The so-called “Hero 2.0” operation saw militants launch coordinated attacks at over 12 locations, including Quetta, Noshki, Dalbandin, Pasni, and Gwadar. Pakistan’s armed forces, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police responded with valor, foiling the terrorists’ malicious plans and eliminating 37 attackers. Authorities reported that the militants maintained continuous contact with their handlers in Afghanistan during the attacks. Ten security personnel were martyred, and several others injured during the intense operations. Over the past 48 hours alone, 51 terrorists have been eliminated, bringing the total number neutralized to 88. The security forces continue their relentless pursuit to restore peace and security, sending a clear message to terrorist networks that Pakistan will never bow to terror.
