The deadly suicide attack, which struck during Friday prayers at Imambargah Khadijah-tul-Kubra in Tarlai, claimed over 30 lives and left the nation in shock. Paying tribute to heroic Aon Abbas, who bravely confronted the attacker at the cost of his own life, the Prime Minister announced a relief package worth Rs. 10 million for Abbas’s family and Rs. 5 million for each of the other victims’ families. In addition, each injured survivor will receive Rs. 3 million, and government jobs will be provided to the children of those slain. “This terrorist attack has no religion, no humanity,” Shehbaz Sharif declared, emphasizing the nation’s solidarity with every affected family. “The courage of our armed forces and the unity of our people will never be shaken by such acts of terror.” He vowed that Aon Abbas’s bravery would be remembered in golden letters in Pakistan’s history, calling the sacrifice of all the martyrs “a shining example of patriotism and heroism.” Prime Minister’s visit comes as Pakistan mourns the loss of innocent lives, while outrage over the attack continues to grow nationwide. Islamabad was shaken when a suicide bomber struck Imam Bargah Khadija-tul-Kubra in Tarlai during Friday prayers, killing over 30 people and injuring more than 160. The attack, one of the deadliest in the capital in recent years, targeted worshippers at a crowded Shia mosque, leaving the nation in mourning and outrage. Daesh claimed responsibility, while authorities arrested several suspects linked to the attack. Lawmakers and leaders across Pakistan condemned the act as “inhuman” and pledged national unity against terrorism, emphasizing that the bravery of martyrs like Aon Abbas would be remembered in the country’s history.
