ISLAMABAD – Murree has once again transformed into a breathtaking winter wonderland as a fresh spell of snowfall swept across the hill station, recording up to 4 inches of snow and dramatically enhancing the beauty of Malka-e-Kohsar. The snowfall continued until late at night, creating a magical scene for visitors, before gradually turning into intermittent rain. Despite renewed snowfall, life in Murree remains fully functional. District Police Officer Murree, Dr. Muhammad Raza Tanveer Sapra, confirmed that all roads and entry routes are completely open for traffic, reassuring tourists that they can travel to Murree without fear or danger. No road closures have been reported, and traffic flow remains smooth across the city. Murree Snowfall Update According to DPO, light snowfall persisted intermittently throughout the night, followed by rain, which increased cold intensity. The temperature dropped to 3 degrees Celsius, while approximately 4 inches of snow had already been recorded. Immediately after snowfall, the district administration and traffic police sprang into action, efficiently clearing roads to prevent disruptions. All major highways and inner-city roads in Murree are fully operational, with no incidents of vehicles getting stuck or tourists being stranded. Authorities confirmed that traffic is moving normally, reflecting the administration’s preparedness and swift response. Issuing an advisory for tourists, DPO Dr. Raza Tanveer Sapra warned that dense fog and sudden weather changes may affect visibility. He urged drivers to use fog lights, avoid speeding and overtaking, and maintain a safe distance between vehicles due to the risk of slippery roads. He further emphasized that traffic police, district police, and administrative teams are actively deployed on roads to assist and guide tourists at all times.
