National curriculum summit 2026 to chart future of education in Pakistan

The National Curriculum Council (NCC) Wing of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) is convening the National Curriculum Summit 2026 on February 11–12, bringing together key stakeholders to deliberate on the future direction of education in Pakistan. Held under the theme “New National Curriculum of Pakistan,” the two-day summit is expected to serve as a landmark national forum for advancing curriculum reform and educational transformation. Senior political leadership, policymakers, curriculum experts, educators, researchers, assessment specialists, technologists and development partners from across the country will participate in the summit. The gathering aims to reflect on the implementation experiences of the National Curriculum of Pakistan (NCP) and to collectively chart a forward-looking and transformative pathway for curriculum development aligned with national priorities and global trends. Discussions at the summit will focus on a wide range of critical thematic areas, including curriculum policy needs and future planning, learner-centred curriculum design, stages of learning, Ed-Tech and STEAM education, values education, national heritage, civics, and school language policy. Other key areas include inclusive and special education, non-formal education, and systemic challenges in curriculum implementation, with an emphasis on identifying practical and sustainable solutions.
