National U15 Cricket Cup to begin on February 4

The National U15 Cup is set to begin on Wednesday, February 4, in Sialkot, Peshawar, Charsadda and Faisalabad. As many as 18 regional teams have been divided into three groups of six, with each team set to play five single-league group matches. As many as 270 U15 players from 16 regions will be in action during the tournament. The top team in each of the Groups A, B and C will advance to the triangular stage, after which the top two will face off in the final. The triangular stage, set to take place from February 12-14 and the final, scheduled on February 16, will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium. A prize pot of PKR 1.775 million will be up for grabs as the winning team will pocket PKR 1 million, with the runners-up taking PKR 0.5 million. Player of the tournament will be awarded PKR 75,000, while best batter, bowler, wicket-keeper and player of the final will be given PKR 50,000 each. A total of nine matches will be played in each round on February 4, 5, 7 and 8, while one Group A match will be played on February 9. The other two matches in Group A and the six matches from Groups B and C will be played on February 10. Group A matches will be played at the Shaheda Sultana Cricket Ground, CSS Cricket Ground and SOS Cricket Ground in Sialkot. Group B matches will be staged in Mir Awais Cricket Ground and Shama Ground in Peshawar, along with Ishfaq Cricket Ground in Charsadda. HPC Cricket Ground, Bohranwali Cricket Ground and Saeed Ajmal Cricket Academy Ground in Faisalabad will host the Group C matches. The group matches at CSS ground in Sialkot, Shama Ground in Peshawar and Saeed Ajmal Academy in Faisalabad will be live-streamed on Tapmad.
