New Sui Gas Timings announced For Ramadan 2026

Karachi – Relief for households across Sindh and Balochistan as Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that during the holy month of Ramadan, gas supply will remain uninterrupted from Sehri to Iftar. The utility giant confirmed that Sui gas will be availanle from 3:00am until 10:30pm, ensuring families can cook and prepare meals without any interruptions throughout the day. This announcement comes as a sigh of relief for millions who rely on SSGC for their daily cooking needs, especially during the demanding Ramadan schedule. The announcement comes ahead of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s important meeting tomorrow in Peshawar, where moon sighting reports will be reviewed and the official start of Ramadan 1447 AH will be declared. According to prediction, clear skies are expected across the KP plains, while higher-altitude areas may see partly cloudy conditions. The moon is expected to be over 19 hours old by tomorrow evening and should remain visible on the horizon for around 35 minutes. There are also chances of spotting the crescent in parts of Balochistan and Sindh. Astronomical data show that the new moon of Ramadan will occur on February 17 at 5:01 PM (PST), making February 18 a strong candidate for the sighting. Met Office shared moonset timings for different regions: Sindh 7:24 PM, Punjab 7:08 PM, Balochistan 7:47 PM, KP 7:13 PM, Azad Jammu & Kashmir 6:58 PM, and Gilgit-Baltistan 6:53 PM. Weather is expected to be mostly fair to partly cloudy across the country during the sighting. As tradition dictates, the central committee will meet on 29th Shaban, while zonal committees will gather local testimonies. Scholars from various schools of thought are expected to attend.
