No one can harm strong bond between Pakistan and China, Naqvi tells Ambassador Zaidong

ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said no one can harm the strong bond between Pakistan and China. The minister stated this during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, at the Ministry of Interior. The envoy condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and expressed full solidarity with Pakistan. He also expressed condolences to the affected families and affirming China’s commitment to fighting terrorism. “China condemns all forms of terrorism and stands firmly with Pakistan in the war against it,” he stated. Minister Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that the recent attacks in Balochistan were part of a coordinated plan, but Pakistan’s security forces had responded effectively and swiftly. He assured the ambassador that Pakistan is taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and projects in the region. “Protecting Chinese citizens and projects is a priority for Pakistan, and no one can harm the strong bond between our nations,” Naqvi said, adding that a special protection unit would be formed for the safety of Chinese nationals. Both sides discussed enhanced cooperation in counter-terrorism efforts, internal security, and intelligence sharing. They also agreed to bolster collaboration in combating cybercrimes. The strategic partnership between Pakistan and China was reaffirmed during the meeting. Ambassador Jiang thanked the Pakistani government for its efforts in securing the safety of Chinese citizens, while Minister Naqvi expressed gratitude for China’s unwavering support. The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, Secretary of the Interior, Special Secretary of the Interior, and senior officials from the Chinese Embassy.
