Motivated by the Charter and resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the meeting emphasized the centrality of the Palestinian cause and the holy city of Al-Quds Al-Sharif to the entire Islamic Ummah, and reaffirmed the political, legal, historical, and moral responsibility to stand in full solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Meeting, guided by the principles of UN Charter and resolutions against the forcible seizure of territory, and the illegal nature of the Israeli occupation, reiterated the unwavering commitment and constant support for the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination, the right to return, and the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Meeting strongly condemned and categorically rejected the recent illegal decisions, measures and actions perpetrated by Israel, the occupying power, aimed to impose an illegal reality, expand colonial settlement, enact so-called sovereignty, and deepen Judaization, annexation and confiscation policies in order to alter the status and character of the occupied Palestinian territory in the West Bank, including Al-Quds Al-Sharif, declaring them null and void, and constitute flagrant violations of international law and war crimes that endanger regional and international peace and security. The meeting strongly condemned the recent provocative statement by the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, and US Embassy’s decision to provide consular services to Israeli settlers in illegal settlements in occupied West Bank, which encourage illegal Israeli control over the Palestinian and Arab territories, asserting that such statements and measures cannot alter the legal status of the land nor undermine Palestinian legitimate rights, and they constitute a flagrant breach of international law, including the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, and a direct contribution to entrenching the illegal settlement enterprise. The Meeting, therefore, called for abiding by the implementation of the US President Trump’s plan, moving on to the second phase, attaining a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire, the full withdrawal of Israeli forces, and the unembedded facilitation of humanitarian assistance to Gaza Strip. The meeting also supported the State of Palestine in assuming its responsibilities for the recovery and reconstruction process, while categorically emphasizing the unity of the Palestinian territory, comprising Gaza Strip and the West Bank including Al-Quds Al-Sharif, as one inseparable geopolitical unit. The meeting resolved to take all possible political and legal measures to challenge Israeli policies, including recourse before the UN Security Council, the General Assembly, and international courts. Therefore, it called on the international community to compel Israel, the occupying power, to end its colonial occupation and implement a just and comprehensive peace, urging them to take concrete punitive measures, including considering the suspension of all relations with Israel, the occupying power. The Meeting is resolved to take all possible political and legal measures to challenge Israeli policies, including action before the UN Security Council, the General Assembly, and international courts. It called upon the international community to provide international protection for the Palestinian people, affirmed its strong support for the State of Palestine’s efforts to hold Israel accountable for its crimes. It condemned Israel’s’ illegal measures against UNRWA, calling for sustained political, legal and financial support for this UN Agency. Therefore, it affirmed that a just and comprehensive peace can only be achieved through the end of the illegal Israeli occupation, full Israeli withdrawal from the territory occupied since 1967 , and the implementation of the two-state solution, applauding and supporting the efforts of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee on Palestine, Chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Meeting also expressed grave concern over the escalation of tensions and increasingly assertive rhetoric in the Middle East region, including recent threats of the use of force against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the provocative deployment and buildup of offensive military forces. The Meeting reaffirmed that such disturbing developments are contradictory to the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations, particularly the respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the political independence of all states. The Meeting underscored that any threat or use of force against a sovereign state constitutes a clear violation of international law, including Article 2(4) of the UN Charter. The Meeting reiterated the importance of strengthening multilateralism, upholding the sovereign equality of states, and rejecting unilateral coercive measures that undermine regional stability and international peace and security. The Meeting further emphasized that sustainable peace and security can only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy, mutual respect, non-interference in the internal affairs of states, and the peaceful settlement of disputes. The Meeting cautioned that escalating military tensions may have serious and unpredictable implications for regional and global peace and security, including adverse effects on economic stability, energy security, and the development prospects of emerging economies. The Meeting called upon all parties to avoid actions that may further aggravate the situation in an already fragile regional security environment. The Meeting welcomed the recent diplomatic engagement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States and expresses support for the constructive steps taken toward reducing tensions. The Meeting underscored the importance of maintaining and advancing this diplomatic process as a means of supporting regional stability and contributing to broader international efforts to promote peace. The Meeting expressed its appreciation to the states that have facilitated this process, including the Sultanate of Oman, the Republic of Türkiye, the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Meeting, finally, reaffirmed the OIC collective commitment to promoting peaceful dialogue, safeguarding regional stability, and upholding the principles that unite the Islamic Ummah.
