2026-03-06 - 16:03
The dramatic escalation unfolded along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border as Operation Ghazb lil Haq continues with powerful ground and air strikes targeting Afghan Taliban positions. According to intelligence sources, the operation has inflicted heavy losses on Afghan Taliban forces. Reports claim 527 militants have been killed and more than 755 wounded in the ongoing campaign. The offensive has also resulted in the destruction of 237 security checkpoints, while 38 additional posts were captured and later demolished by Pakistani forces. Military sources say the scale of equipment losses is also significant. Around 205 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery systems belonging to Afghan Taliban forces have reportedly been destroyed during the strikes. In addition, 62 separate locations across Afghanistan have been effectively targeted through coordinated air operations. The Pakistan Army is said to have carried out a particularly decisive action in the Kurram sector along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border, where several Afghan security posts were hit and destroyed. Heavy artillery bombardment reportedly targeted both Afghan Taliban positions and elements described by sources as Fitna al Khawarij. Despite the scale of the strikes already carried out, intelligence officials indicate that Operation Ghazb lil Haq is far from over. Military operations are expected to continue with full force until all strategic objectives of the mission are achieved.
