QUETTA: The Balochistan government has entered into a formal agreement with the Land Information Management System (LIMS) to digitise land records across the province in line with modern standards.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed by Board of Revenue’s senior member Qambar Dashti and the LIMS chief executive officer at a ceremony held on Wednesday.
During the ceremony, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti was given a detailed briefing on the project. He was informed that in the first phase, land records in 25 districts of Balochistan will be digitised with the support of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology.
Through this initiative, land records will be integrated into a modern, secure and transparent system, leading to improved management of land-related matters and greater convenience for the public.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Bugti said the digitisation of land records is essential for ensuring transparency, improved governance and sustainable development in the province.
