MOHMAND: Unknown terrorists launched a rocket attack on a police post in the Qandahari area of Safi tehsil here on Thursday night, which was promptly repulsed by the police personnel.
DSP headquarters Khalid Khan confirmed the attack, stating that the attackers fired rockets at the post during the night, which landed near the post without causing any fatalities or injuries. The police personnel mounted a counter attack, forcing the assailants to flee in the darkness.
Authorities initiated preliminary investigations, with search underway for the suspects.
Security measures have been intensified in the area, including the deployment of additional personnel at checkpoints and increased patrols.
