RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has successfully concluded Exercise Golden Eagle, a high-intensity, multi-domain combat exercise conducted in the Southern Air Command’s area of responsibility. The exercise showcased PAF’s ability to employ its entire combat spectrum in a synchronized and decisive manner, underscoring its readiness to respond to evolving regional security challenges. Executed on Two-Force operational construct, Exercise Golden Eagle placed strong emphasis on AI-enabled, net-centric warfare, seamlessly integrating indigenous niche, disruptive, and smart technologies. The exercise reflected PAF’s transformation towards next-generation warfare concepts, aligning operational strategy with emerging threat environments. The kinetic phase featured First-Shot, First-Kill capable swing-role fighter aircraft, armed with long-range Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air-to-air missiles, extended-range stand-off weapons, and precision-guided munitions. These combat operations were reinforced by Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft and Air-to-Air Refuelling platforms, ensuring sustained reach and battlefield awareness. One of the most striking highlights of the exercise was successful execution of Manned–Unmanned Teaming, where deep-penetration killer drones and loitering munitions operated in a highly contested, congested, and degraded combat environment. This validated PAF’s capability to conduct high-tempo, modern warfare operations, even under complex and hostile conditions. The entire exercise was commanded and controlled through the Next-Generation All-Domain Command & Control Centre at Air Headquarters, Islamabad, enabling real-time decision-making and unified execution across multiple domains. The resounding success of Exercise Golden Eagle sends a clear and powerful message: the Pakistan Air Force remains combat-ready, technologically advanced, and fully prepared to counter present and future security threats. By leveraging indigenous innovation and advanced operational concepts, PAF continues to reinforce its position as a formidable and resilient air force in the region.
