ISLAMABAD – Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has reassured the nation that Pakistan’s security is in good hands, emphasizing that the country’s defense mechanisms are strong and impregnable. The minister stated this in a social media post on X amid evolving regional situation following the US-Iran attack against Iran and tensions with Afghanistan. “While our defensive capabilities and resolve are time tested and unquestionable, it’s important to remember that Pakistan has always maintained balanced and constructive relations with all countries based on mutual respect and reciprocity with zero hegemonic designs,” he wrote in the tweet. In a separate statement, Khawaja Asif has strongly condemned Zionism, calling it a significant threat to humanity. He asserted that the ongoing war against Iran was part of a larger agenda to expand Israeli influence up to Pakistan’s borders. During a speech, Asif emphasized that every crisis faced by the Islamic world since the establishment of Israel can be traced back to the Zionist ideology. He criticized the global economic system for being under the control of Zionist forces, asserting that major world powers were operating under Zionist influence. Asif further stated that Pakistan’s military capability is recognized globally, particularly highlighting the country’s nuclear strength. He pointed out that Pakistan’s nuclear tests served as a clear message to the world about its status as a nuclear power. Addressing the broader geopolitical scenario, the Defence Minister warned of a possible alliance between Afghanistan, Israel, and India with a shared agenda of hostility toward Pakistan.
