ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has fixed a maximum fee limit for MBBS and BDS programs in private medical and dental colleges across the country. PMDC has issued a notification in light of the recommendations of a committee formed on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The maximum tuition fee for MBBS and BDS programs, including all ancillary charges, has been set at Rs1.8 million. The council clarified that this fee limit will be applicable to all sessions. All students enrolled in MBBS and BDS programs from first year to final year during the 2024–25 session will fall under this fee structure. The PMDC further stated that the notified tuition fee of Rs 1.89 million, which includes a 5 percent increase announced on October 6, 2025, will be applicable from the 2025–26 session onward. This fee will apply to all sessions and to students of MBBS and BDS programs from first year to final year. The notification also stated that after 2026, any increase in tuition fees, including all ancillary charges, will be made solely on the basis of the Consumer Price Index (CPI). A separate notification regarding this increase will be issued at the relevant time. The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has directed all private medical and dental colleges to strictly comply with the issued clarifications, warning that strict action will be taken in case of any violation.
