Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday instructed provincial governments to immediately seal, revoke licenses, and initiate legal action against any petrol stations found creating artificial shortages of petroleum products. Chairing a high-level meeting on the availability of petroleum products, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for strict measures against hoarders. During a briefing by the Ministry of Petroleum, officials confirmed that sufficient stocks of fuel are available nationwide to meet demand. The prime minister also directed the Petroleum Minister to visit the provinces and, in coordination with provincial authorities, develop a comprehensive plan and strategy to conserve petroleum products and maintain an uninterrupted supply for the public.
