Rains and gusty winds with isolated hailstorms are predicted in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night and the next two days, with occasional breaks. Synoptic Situation: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan, which will likely persist in the upper parts till March 12. Forecast: Under these conditions, intermittent rains with isolated moderate to heavy falls are predicted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Khyber, Mohmand, Peshawar, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Bannu, Orakzai, Kurram, Kohat and Hangu on Monday night and the next two days. Hailstorms are also expected at isolated places during the period. Temperatures: Peshawar’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 15°C and 17°C on Tuesday and between 14°C and 16°C on Wednesday. Past Weather: Dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Cold weather prevailed in the hilly areas. Rains occurred at a few places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
