LAHORE – As tensions between Pakistan and Indian continue unabated, Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11th edition matches will not be broadcast in India this year. Insider sources claim Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided not to sell broadcasting rights for India, although rights for all other regions around the world will be available. This means Indian cricket enthusiasts will miss out on live PSL action this year. The eleventh edition of the league is set to start after Eid, and fans across the globe, except India, will enjoy live coverage of all matches. PSL 11 got two new teams, as the tally soared to eight, promising more thrilling contests than ever before. For the first time in PSL history, the player auction ceremony will be held on February 11, setting the stage for high-stakes player selections and strategic team lineups. With the tournament just around the corner, PSL 11 is shaping up to be bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever, but Indian fans will have to watch from afar. Lately, Pakistan announced to skip Group A clash against India on February 15 at the 2026 T20 World Cup, though the team will still participate in other matches in Sri Lanka. The government gave permission for travel but did not explain the decision, and the PCB has not formally informed the ICC. The India-Pakistan fixture, the most-watched and lucrative game in cricket, will be missing from the group stage for the first time since 2010. Pakistan is in Group A with India, Namibia, the Netherlands, and the USA, and will play the Netherlands (Feb 7), USA (Feb 10), and Namibia (Feb 18). By forfeiting the India game, Pakistan will lose two points and see its net run rate affected, while India remains unaffected. The move comes after Pakistan had supported Bangladesh’s request to avoid playing in India and criticized the ICC for favoritism. Fans are now bracing for one of the most controversial T20 World Cups in recent history.
