RAWALPINDI – The newly established Rawalpindi franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026) has formally announced “Pindiz” as its official team name ahead of the 11th edition of the tournament. The development comes after Walee Technologies secured ownership of the former PSL franchise Multan Sultans for Rs2.45 billion. The video featured iconic locations of Rawalpindi and carried an energetic message highlighting the franchise’s ambitions for the upcoming season. In the promotional clip, the franchise described itself as fearless and determined, pledging to bring renewed passion and competitiveness to the league. Management also confirmed that the official team logo will be launched in the coming days as part of the franchise’s branding campaign. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had decided to auction the franchise after former owner Ali Tareen opted not to renew the 10-year ownership agreement of Multan Sultans. The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League is scheduled to take place from March 26 to May 3, with franchises accelerating preparations for the highly anticipated tournament.
